A GREGORY `Jackie Chan’ Richardson hat-trick enabled Alpha `The Hammer’ United to register a 7-1 win against Santos, as play in the Guyana Football Federation (GFF)/Banks National Premier League continued at two venues in Georgetown.
Playing at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground on Sunday, Richardson opened the scoring in the 27th minute and doubled the lead eight minutes later.
He completed his hat-trick 10 minutes later to give his team a comfortable 3-0 lead which remained the same at the end of the first session.
Seventeen minutes into the second period, Santos responded with their lone goal of the match, by Malcolm Wilson in the 62nd minute.
Ten minutes later, Alpha United, who are still unbeatable in the League after 13 matches, increased the lead to 4-1 through 72nd minute goal by guest player Kitson Bain of Grenada.
Manasseh Primo, Sheldon Holder and Andrew Murray added their names to the score sheet in the 79th, 82nd and 87th minutes respectively.
At the GFC ground, BK Western Tigers and BV/Triumph registered wins over Buxton United and Milerock respectively.
Both teams won by 3-1 margins.
Scoring for BK Western Tigers were Marvin Joseph in the 61st minute, Hubert Pedro in the 81st minute and Tyson Carmichael in the 3rd minute of injury time.
Buxton United’s lone goal came off the boot of Denver Dennis in the 24th minute and 10 minutes later, both teams were reduced to 10 men as Western Tigers’ Trison Carmichael and Buxton United’s Sherwin Hope were red-carded for ungentlemanly conduct after they became engaged in a brawl.
Quacy Price, Romario Welcome and Kashif Jackman netted for BV/Triumph in the 32nd, 84th and 85th minutes respectively while Milerock’s lone goal was off Denzil Fordyce’s boot in the77th minute.
Also on Sunday, Guyana Defence Force (GDF) thrashed Riddim Squad 6-1 at the GDF ground.
Leading the way for the soldiers was Delroy Fraser who registered a treble in the 54th, 66th and 76th minutes.
He was supported by a Ryan Morrison 12th minute goal and one each from Eusi Phillips in the 81st minute and Desford Williams in the 90th minute.
Riddim Squad’s lone goal was scored by Julian Forris in the 59th minute.
