ANDRE Daniels, a seven-year-old pupil of Good Hope Primary School, was struck and killed by a hire car at around midday last Friday while running across the road.Reports said the boy, from Supenaam Creek, also on the Essequibo Coast, had been going to collect his lunch from a cousin.
He was picked up in an unconscious condition and rushed to the Suddie Hospital where he died, some hours later, while in intensive care.
The driver of the vehicle is in police custody and is expected to be charged and put before the court shortly.
