President Donald Ramotar (third left) and other Caribbean and Latin American Heads look on as Cuba’s President Raul Castro and Brazil’s President Dilma Rousseff cut the ceremonial ribbon to officially open the Mariel container terminal in western Havana, yesterday. The $957M port, which was largely financed by BNDES, a Brazilian development bank, is equipped to handle vessels passing through the expanded Panama Canal, construction of which is currently under way.Venezuelan President, Nicolas Maduro has a brief but amicable exchange with President Donald Ramotar at the opening of the Mariel Container Terminal yesterday
