REPEAT offender Junior Harry, alias ‘Little Current’, was sentenced yesterday to one year imprisonment by Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh on a charge of attempt to commit a felony.
The unemployed man, 45, went into the grocery shop of Devi Bhagoo, at Rose Hall Town, where he purchased a pack of cigarettes.
However, as the victim was giving him the item, he held unto her hand and attempted to remove her gold rings.
Bhagoo raised an alarm which alerted her husband, who nabbed the suspect.
The matter was reported at Rose Hall Outpost where sleuths instituted the charge.
He faces an additional charge of exposure of genitals, but he has denied this before Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh at the Albion Court.
He is expected to return to Court on February 25.
