HORSE racing pioneer and veteran lawyer, Senior Counsel Marcel Crawford died on Christmas Day after suffering a heart attack.

Born at Salton Village (Little Alness) in Berbice, too, Crawford was honoured by several African Guyanese groups, as someone who had made remarkable contributions.
The former national cycling champion was born into horse racing and went on to become the Legal Advisor to the Guyana Horse Racing Authority (GHRA).
