Music vendor Juel Harris (no address given) was placed on $25,000 bail last Friday after he appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry to answer an allegation that he unlawfully assaulted Nadisa Griffith on December 17 at the 42 minibus park.The 26-year-old pleaded not guilty as charged. When the magistrate asked if the VC was in any way related to the defendant, she learnt that they were total strangers before the alleged attack.

The facts were not read in court, and the prosecutor did not object to bail being granted Harris; so the magistrate granted Harris bail and bonded him to keep the peace until January 5, when the matter is to continue in Court 10.
