INVESTIGATIONS are being conducted into a fatal accident that occurred at about 05:30 hrs, yesterday, on the main road at Foulis, West Coast Berbice, and which resulted in the death of motorist Trevon Jamal Wilson, 22 years.Investigations have revealed that Trevon Wilson was driving motor car PRR 3473, accompanied by Almond Smith and Earl Miller, 25 years, both of Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara, when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a utility pole.
They all received injuries and were taken to the Mahaicony Hospital where Trevon Wilson was pronounced dead on arrival. Almond Smith was admitted for medical treatment, while Earl Miller was treated and sent away.
Meanwhile, investigations are also being conducted into the circumstances surrounding the death of miner Terrence France of Oronoque, Port Kaituma, North West District, whose body was found with several suspected chop wounds at about 06: 00 hrs, yesterday, in a mining pit at 8-Mile Backdam, Port Kaituma.
The body is at the Port Kaituma Hospital Mortuary awaiting post mortem.
