Ramjattan and Moses: See no Evil, Hear no Evil!

THEY are sick! Yes seriously, they are sick! They are suffering from Convenient Amnesia Syndrome (CAS) and it looks as though their condition is hopeless. I’m speaking about the “suru and duru” duo of Moses and Ramjattan. These boys seem to know everything regarding corruption far and wide across the country, and even overseas. But they conveniently do not “see no evil nor hear no evil” when it is occurring right under their noses.
One man within the AFC, spent some 5 million of donation money on “bora and bhaaji” during the election time, plenty people within the party jump up and holler “corruption” after the man buy a big fancy vehicle a few weeks after. Moses and Ramjattan however did not “see no evil or hear no evil.”
Another man whose name is similar to that fancy hospital on East Street accuse he colleague who like do gardening and plant flowers in the party of squandering $20 million of donation money. The man holler “corruption”, Moses and Ramjattan stay silent and did not “hear no evil or see no evil.” The man get vex and pick up his bundle and left the party.
A next one who big in size and mouth and has a misplaced feeling that he could walk in Walter Rodney shoes, quietly took a job with the Hydro people and he “cuss them publicly” but ‘collecting they money quietly.’ When the story do buss out, the man feeling shame talk out everything and said how Ramjattan did know about his “double dealing” all along. But of course when the media talk to “suru and duru”, they claim they didn’t “see no evil or hear no evil.”
Ramjattan join in the act too and quietly work for a company which bid on the specialty hospital. The company lost out on the bid and next thing you know Ramjattan jump up and said his party will not be supporting the project. Ramjattan and Moses vote in Parliament to cut funding for the Specialty Hospital. Then word leak out that Ramjattan working for the company which did not get the work. Plenty people, both inside and outside the party holler “corruption and double dealing.” But of course the two of them claim how they did not “see no evil and hear no evil” in such an incestuous relationship.
Same thing happen with Moses and the Chinese people who wanted to build the airport project. Big front page picture with he and them in the newspapers, next thing you know some deal gone sour and he claim how he not supporting the project. And as usual, they did not “see no evil or hear no evil.”
You remember the handicapped man and his wife who accused one of them of cheating the couple out of their property and the Prakash man who accuse the Trotting man of the same thing? None of them did not “see no evil or hear no evil.”
The latest episode involves three men, but they not the “wise men”, because these chaps came from the “West”. They holler how there is no “transparency” in the operations of the AFC and that it’s being run by an untouchable clique’, that they were not being listened to and that they did not come bearing gifts but were rather running away from the party. But there is an old saying that you “run from the pot into the fire” where Uncle Granger wait for them but that story is for another time. When the media question Ramjattan and Moses, not surprising they said they did not “see no evil or hear no evil.” Ramjattan as the leader of his party is actually quoted as saying that he was “unaware of discontent in his party’s New York Chapter.” Now what kind of leader is that? If you don’t know what’s going on in your own house, then how can we believe a word you say when you raise a finger to accuse others, remember when you point is all them other fingers pointing back at you.
This brings us to the latest issue involving these two AFC oracles, these man are trained lawyers but suddenly turn experts in Economics. They want to go up against Ashni who has a Doctorate in this thing, accusing the man of lying about how much money was actually placed in the budget to cater for public servants wage increases. They pull all sorts of numbers from the budget document and trying to fool the average man, giving the impression that they know what they talking about.
Next thing you know, Ashni reveal the transcript of his presentation to the National Assembly during the budget debates where he was asked about the very issue and he went into detail to explain who will get what from the money. Ramjattan and Moses were sitting in Parliament and did not voice not “one objection or query” when Ashni spoke on the issue. But these two suddenly suffering from Convenient Amnesia Syndrome and can’t remember what was said as they try to misinform public servants and encourage them to protest. Is same thing they did in Linden and then took themselves clean out and left the people on their own.
