THE eight-fight Boxing Card slated for Linden will be launched today when the Guyana Boxing Board of Control host their media briefing from 13:00hrs at the Abdool and Abdool Insurance Office, High Street, Georgetown.The card will feature four professional fights as well as four amateur bouts and will be staged at the Mackenzie Sports Club ground on Boxing Night.
The feature bout in the professional segment will see James Walcott coming up against Derrick Richmod over 12 rounds for the vacant Super Middleweight title.
Kelsey George is down to face Romeo Norville over six rounds in a Super Middleweight contest, Kishawan Simon will meet Cassius Matthews in a six-round junior Welterweight bout and Shondell Park squares off with Shelly Gibson in a four-round heavyweight contest.
The amateur bouts are still to be confirmed.
Starting time on Boxing Night is 20:00hrs and admission price will be $1000.
Four door prizes (one cell phone, one I-Pad, and two cash prizes of $10,000 each) will be up for grabs.
