Founder of the group, Ms. Oretta Alleyne said she got the idea when she was living in Trinidad studying for her degree in Theatre Art at the University of the West Indies.

She said the aim is to provide a forum where all creative artists in Guyana can showcase their talent, while, at the same time, facilitating restaurants, hotels and bars to offer entertainment of a difference.
Present on the occasion, too, were Mr. Brian Clarke and Mr. Paul Burnette, who decided to join forces with Alleyne.
Clarke is a painter and founder of Main Street Art Group which he formed last year to showcase their works at various venues across he country.
Burnette is a fashion designer who produced the recent, first ever, Guyana Fashion Week.
He disclosed that ‘Words Come Alive Guyana Edition’ will feature many of the young designers who were first seen at Guyana Fashion Week and include names like Wynette Jones, Natasha David, Alana Ali, Chenney Wong and Amanda.
Alleyne, too, promised that ‘Words Come Alive Guyana Edition’ will transform the entire dining atmosphere and give patrons something else, besides food, for which to look forward.
She encouraged both business owners, artists as well as members of the public to visit Upscale Restaurant and Bar at 18:30 hrs this Saturday to get a first-hand taste of the fusion of drama, art, fashion and music.
