INDRANIE Mohanlall, a housewife who had her husband arrested and charged for damage to property and abusing her, informed Magistrate Shundell Lovell, Wednesday, that the couple prefers to seek counselling for the resolution of their domestic issues.
Mohanlall said her property was never damaged and they would rather that way to resolve the matter than the criminal prosecution of the defendant.
At the time, her husband, Bindial Mangra was making a Court appearance on the charges at Cove and John Court.
The Court was told that, on Friday, October 18, at Haslington Housing Scheme, Mangra unlawfully and maliciously damaged one wooden table belonging to Mohanlall and made use of abusive language towards her after he came home and found no food had been cooked for him while he was out imbibing.
The magistrate then provided the necessary information needed for the couple to seek counselling and the charges were dismissed.
