GREGORY Hart, 38, of Lot 80 D’Urban Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown was, Tuesday , granted $100,000 bail on an assault charge. 
Before Magistrate Judy Latchman, the defendant pleaded not guilty to having, on Friday, October 18, in D’Urban Street, Werk-en-Rust, unlawfully assaulted Colin Benjamin.
Police Sergeant Vishnu Hunt, prosecuting, said the virtual complainant was dealt several cuffs about the body.
But attorney-at-law Mr. Paul Fung-a-Fat, for the defence, claimed that Benjamin was beating Hart’s 17-year-old son and the father intervened.
The case will continue on October 29.
