GREGORY Anthony Padmore, a prisoner who killed a fellow inmate in 2006 and was sent to the Psychiatric Hospital in Berbice, Tuesday pleaded guilty to the lesser count of manslaughter.Sentence has been postponed to await a probation report.

Padmore appeared at the Demerara Assizes before Justice Diana Insanally, before whom a jury had been empanelled. That jury deemed the accused fit to stand trial.
Padmore was indicted for the murder of Nkosi Mc Leod at the Georgetown Prison in 2006.
