East Street Nursery School begins new term in brand new $38M building

AS promised by the Education Ministry, the East Street Nursery School reopened its doors on Monday, following the investment of $38M in construction of a new building.

altEducation Ministry Public Relations Officer, Suelle Williams said, in a press release, that the ministry is happy to have kept its promise, and have the new school ready for the children of the East Street Nursery exactly two weeks after school officially reopened in Guyana.
“The Ministry of Education is very pleased to announce that the East Street Nursery School reopened on Monday, September 16, 2013, as promised by the ministry, when the Honourable Minister of Education, Ms. Priya Manickchand visited the school two weeks ago,” the release stated.
The release also expressed gratitude to the teachers, parents and guardians for their reasonable patience and understanding, and encouraged them all – along with the children of the school –  to make full use of the brand new facilities made available to them.
