FORTY-six-year-old labourer “Black Boy” of Back Street, Devonshire Castle, Essequibo Coast committed suicide while in a drunken state by hanging himself with a piece of rope under his six-foot-high wooden house last Thursday night.

Relatives reportedly found the father of two dead on his knees, with the rope around his neck hanging from a beam under the low house.
It has been surmised that Black Boy probably got tired of his persistent alcohol problems, and ended his life in that tragic manner.
The incident has left many residents shocked and traumatized, since “Black Boy” had always been a very jovial and popular person in the community.
