Biker’s execution… Brumell was unaware of fugitive Jagdeo in Suriname

ACTING Police Commissioner Leroy Brumell disclosed, yesterday, that, while he was in Suriname recently, he heard fugitive Rondy Jagdeo, for whom a wanted bulletin is out, had been in that country.

altThe latter is being hunted in relation to the execution-style killing of biker Kirk Davis and was sighted in the neigbouring Dutch territory but is still at large.
Brumell, who attended a regional security sector cooperation meeting in Paramaribo, from September 6 to 7, said, however, he was not aware, at the time, that Jagdeo had fled Guyana and was in Suriname.
The Top Cop, who was speaking at a press conference hosted by Minister of Home Affairs Clement Rohee, at his Brickdam, Georgetown office, said the police have, since, contacted their counterparts in Suriname and photographs of Jagdeo were e-mailed to them while exploring all avenues to get the latter here.alt
Brumell insisted there was no sloth in the issuance of the wanted bulletin for Jagdeo, as the Guyana Police acted with the information available then.
He pointed out that Jagdeo is not a licensed firearm holder.
Meanwhile, Crime Chief Seelall Persaud reported that the well-known Water Street, city businessman, being sought for questioning about the unlawful killing of biker Kirk Davis, last September 3, at his Eccles, East Bank Demerara home, has not made contact with the police.

Gunshot injuries
A post mortem performed on Davis, by Dr. Nehaul Singh, revealed that he had been shot 15 times with a 9 mm pistol and died from shock and haemorrhage, due to the multiple gunshot injuries.
According to reports, Davis, 30, was first shot while in the rear passenger seat of the shooter’s motor car before he was dragged out and riddled with several more bullets.
It is reported that the businessman, his wife and another relative had gone to the Seventh Street, Eccles home of Davis to confront him on an issue and an argument ensued, during which the assailant accused the victim of having an affair with the woman.
The 28-year-old husband, in an angry state, got out of the driver’s seat, went to the back door of his vehicle, dragged Davis out and riddled his body with bullets.
