True Vision Foundation hosts grand two-day extravaganza in celebration of Emancipation 2013

THE Cultural and Sports Committee of True Vision Foundation, located in Albouystown, Georgetown, yesterday kicked-off a grand two-day cultural extravaganza in celebration of Emancipation 2013.

Being held at the Independence Boulevard which embraces Hill Street, Barr Street and Bel Air Street in Albouystown, admission is free, and all are invited to participate in the fun which continues today.
A cavalcade of sports will form a key part of the activities, and games include cricket, football, and basketball. Additionally, there will be a talent and fashion show, boxing display, karaoke competition, and not least, a mouth-watering display of food.
There will be fun for the entire family.
The high point of today’s activities will be the symbolic African drumming and dancing by persons highly skilled in these activities.
Events co-ordinator Randolph Thorne said the event is expected to be an annual feature.
