COCONUT vendor Milton Payne told New Amsterdam Magistrate Rhondel Weaver that he did not threaten newspaper distributor Kurt Wynter with an ice pick on August 18 last.
The 73-year-old pleaded not guilty to spraying a poisonous liquid, causing discomfort to Wynter and his family, who live next door to Payne. And when the virtual complainant informed the defendant that the poison was affecting him, the elderly man allegedly responded to the complaint by pulling out an ice pick and threatened to kill Wynter, a popular newspaper vendor.
Payne was placed on $10,000 bail, and is expected to be at the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s Court on November 25.
