THERE are numerous problems at the nurses’ hostel at the Skeldon Hospital and there are plenty of problems that exist here. First of all the nurses hostel is in a state of disrepair with the kitchen falling apart. During a visit by Minister Bheri Ramsarran a few months ago, he promised to fix the kitchen but nothing has happened so far.

The washrooms in the hospital are in a filthy state and some are not working, as can be seen in the picture. There are a lot of other problems here but if you speak out you will be victimised by the senior officials in Berbice.
I am kindly asking that you publish this letter so that the President can see what is happening at Skeldon Hospital with respect to the poor state of the hostel.
