40-year-old Shawn Lashely, a plumber of Lot 164 Non Pareil Street, Albouystown, Georgetown, was remanded to prison when he appeared before Magistrate Ann McLennan to answer a narcotics charge.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the offence that was said to have been committed on Saturday, August 10, at Albouystown, Georgetown, when he was alleged to have had in his possession 20 grammes of cannabis sativa (marijuana) for the purpose of trafficking.
He also denied that, on the same day at Albouystown, Georgetown, he had in his possession 35 grammes of cannabis for the same purpose.
Bail was, however, refused and the matter stands adjourned until, September 10.
