Albouystown man remanded for robbing gas station owner of $4.3M

GEORGETOWN Magistrate Ann McLennan remanded Ronald Kissoon, 27, of Lot 59 James Street, Albouystown, Georgetown, to prison on a robbery charge which stated that, on March 25, at Camp Street, Georgetown, he robbed gas station owner Cecil Gajadhar of Gy$4,340,000.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the offence, and attorney-at-law Mr. Adrian Thompson made a bail application for his client; but police corporal Dinero Jones, prosecuting, successfully opposed bail, citing the seriousness and prevalence of the offence.

Bail was refused, and the matter stands adjourned until September 13.
