WESTERN Tigers and Camptown Football Clubs will clash today in the final of the Fruta Conquerors Football Club Under-13 tournament at the Tucville Playfield following contrasting semifinal victories. Under a week ago, Camptown got past the hosts Fruta Conquerors on penalty kicks while the Tigers defeated Renaissance as they battled up to the regulation time whistle.
The teams will clash at 15:00hrs in the final following the third-place showdown between Renaissance and Fruta Conquerors at 14:00hrs.
Following the league format of the competition which involved eight teams, Conquerors were on top of the point’s standings with 21 followed by Renaissance (18), Western Tigers (13), Camptown (10), Georgetown Football Club (8), Santos (5), Fruta Conquerors (3) and Pele (0).
The executives of Fruta Conquerors are encouraging parents and fans to come out in their numbers and support the teams noting that they have displayed tremendous talent, grit and determination over the last six weeks during the competition.
