Sixty-seven of them sat the tests and 57 were successful, with seven gaining places at Georgetown-based secondary schools.
Lavina Sooknanan topped her school with 519 marks, while Chris Sears 518, Leynese Tinnie 516, Anika Soodoo 512, Mandy Pereira 511, Randini Ramdharry 509 and Richard Semple 501, were the other six.

Soodoo and Pereira were the joint honourees for Science and the best graduating was Sooknanan, who took the prize for English.
Certificates were also presented to the class of 2013 at the function.
Prior to the presentation, the Headteacher, Mrs. Kowsilla Tahal delivered an inspirational speech, urging the pupils to remain focused and strive to achieve higher goals as they move on to another phase of life.
She told them:”I want to let you know that you are moving on to bigger things in life and you need to start setting goals for yourselves at this age, if you want to be successful. You are moving on from the All Saints’ Primary to institutions which will determine whether you become professionals or if you would simply join the labour force of your country.”

Great things
Tahal said that All Saints’ provided a foundation for many children who have now gone on to achieve great things in life and she would like the class of 2013 to continue the trend of success.
“No matter where you go in life or whatever good path you choose, I urge you to remember your alma mater. It is here where you have built your foundation. Remember your teachers, those who guided you and your friends. You wouldn’t have a second chance in life to attend a primary school, so, cherish your memories here and move forward with my blessings,” she offered.
Tahal challenged the next batch of NGSA candidates to better the performance of the class of 2013, pointing out that the school possesses a lot of potential to rank among the best primary schools in Guyana.
The grades 6 ‘A’ and ‘B’ who sat the 2013 NGSA were taught by Kamla Sooknanan and Heathcliff Peters. The classes of 2014 are, currently, preparing for the NGSA under the tutelage of Basant Jagdeo, Ayodele Craig and Shakira Hussain.
