GENERAL Manager of Noble House Seafoods, Leslie Ramalho has expressed firm assurance that his company remains committed to sports development.
Ramalho was speaking to Chronicle Sport where he pointed out that his company continues to give back to several sport associations and clubs in a very tangible way.
“We recognise the importance of corporate support and as such I can assure you that we will continue to play our part in this regard because it’s our responsibility,” he said.
Ramalho noted that while they continue to keep a low profile with regard to the many sporting contributions and sponsorship that they provide they are doing their part.
“This is not publicity for us as the public may know that our main market is an overseas one but we believe that because of our commitment and determination to sporting development we continue to give back,” he said.
Ramalho pointed out that his company’s policy is to ensure that when they sponsor any activity or event the players benefit significantly. He said that while his company would love to help every request that they receive they are forced to carefully select its recipients as they want to ensure that their monies are properly utilised.
“We carefully select the events and activities that we sponsor as we must ensure that those persons who are intended to benefit are benefiting as our priority remains to see sports development,” he declared.
The company recently sponsored a number of events and individuals and the General Manager assured that they intend to do several others for the rest of the year.
Ramalho said that while he is a sports lover he firmly believes in holistic development adding that their ultimate goal is to ensure that avenues are created whereby young people can showcase their skills and talent.
“When we provide sponsorship we are not like some companies that would put our monies to any particular player but rather we support the entire case and allow the association or team management to decide how the monies and/or who it should be spent upon as that is not our role,” he stated.
Ramalho said that he is happy that under his leadership the company continues to play a pivotal role in youth development and extended congratulations to the rest of the staff at Noble House Seafoods for what he said has been their collective and committed work towards ensuring that the company can provide sponsorship support to so many.
“What we have been doing at Noble House has been made possible by the entire staff as their hard work, commitment and determination have helped in ensuring that we can provide the assistance and support that we give,” he said.
He added that his company takes their social responsibility in a serious way and urge others to emulate the example of his company. He said that with the advancement and continuous development of sports he believes that other than cricket, squash and boxing, the country has the potential to make its name internationally in other disciplines which he said will aid in further boosting the country’s sporting status.
