RAVIN Seechan of Cove and John, East Coast Demerara, was on Tuesday freed of an unlawful assault charge when he appeared at the Cove and John Magistrate’s Court. According to police, Seechan on Saturday June 9 at Cove and John, he unlawfully assaulted his neighbour, Pooran Ramgobin. However, the virtual complainant who was present told the court that he would not be pursuing the matter any further since he was compensated for his injuries by the defendant.
Presiding Magistrate Zamilla Alli then had no other choice but to dismiss the matter.
