According to Singh, as she was finished cooking and was getting ready to leave the house for the Georgetown Public Hospital  a policeman showed up at her home and told her that she was needed at the hospital to identify the body of a man suspected to be her brother who was involved in an accident.
The woman explained to this newspaper that when she visited the hospital she was able to positively identify her brother’s body.
She said that the police did indicate that it was a police officer who was driving the car at the time of the accident. However the police failed to inform the family of the man if the officer who was driving the vehicle at the time had been placed on close arrest.
