TWO vehicles, one a white Allion, PNN 6336, and the other, a white Honda CR-V, collided at the corner of Republic and Garnett Streets, Newtown, around 08:45 hrs yesterday morning.
The driver of the Allion was a man while the CR-V was being driven by a woman. According to the driver of the Allion, he was proceeding north along Republic Street and did not see the CR-V approaching the intersection until it was too late. He claimed this was because his vision was obscured by a ‘Bush Truck’, which was parked close to the intersection on the southern side of Garnett Street.
Neither driver was injured, but they both seemed badly shaken.
