OMELETTA Grant, of East Ruimveldt Front Road Squatting Area, in Georgetown, appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman, on Tuesday, charged with using abusive language and disorderly behaviour.

The 35-year-old defendant pleaded guilty to the charges, particulars of which said, on Thursday, June 13, in East Ruimveldt, she abused and behaved in a disorderly manner towards Carmen Reece.
Grant confessed, to the court, that she was having an affair with the father of the virtual complainant’s children and, that day, she was walking on a public road when Reece dealt her a cuff on her back.
The defendant explained that she used a broken bottle to defend herself and, based on that claim, the magistrate changed her pleas to not guilty, ordered her to post $80,000 bail and put off the case to today.
