Alicia said family members are of the view that a man living in close proximity to them may have some ties or connection to the men who opened fire on her brother in an attempt to cripple him.
According to her, at the moment there is an ongoing misunderstanding between her relatives and the man who lives close by, and it all stemmed from an old incident in which the man’s dog had bitten her cousin.
An angry and upset Alicia explained that the man habitually threatens to kill her family members one by one. She said the last thing he told her brother a few days ago was that he was going to cripple him, and she is of the view that the man has now made good on his threat.
Last night, doctors at the Georgetown Public Hospital were able to remove the three bullets from the man’s feet, according to his sister. The doctors also told the family that the man’s condition is stable, and he was admitted to the health facility.
Police are in process of investigating the matter, and are on the lookout for the suspects, whom they feel might be responsible for the shooting.
That shooting was followed by another in another part of the city wherein the father and Canadian wife of a former footballer have been hospitalized with gunshot wounds to the head and abdomen respectively, after three gunmen had invaded their North Ruimveldt home last evening in what some are saying is an execution attempt on the life of the former footballer.
