MURDER accused Noel Adonis, called ‘Neil’, who is facing trial over the killing of Ishroutie Deonarine, called ‘Suzie’, will know his fate today. Represented by Attorney-at-law Mr. Peter Hugh, ‘Neil’ had pleaded not guilty to the capital offence which was allegedly committed on September 14, 2007.
Evidence revealed that the woman was struck on the head on 9th September, 2007 but she died on the 14th.
Prosecutors Mrs. Tashana Lake and Miss Natasha Barker had called five witnesses in support of the prosecution, but they were subjected to rigorous cross-examination by defence counsel.
This morning, Justice Navindra Singh, the presiding judge, will sum up the evidence to the jury and then he will hand over the case to them for their consideration and verdict. (George Barclay)
