A BRIEF note if I may, as a follow-up to a letter which I saw in the Chronicle on Friday, June 7, under the caption: “Blatant interference by the U.S. in Guyana’s internal affairs unacceptable”. It appears that the United States Ambassador to Guyana Mr D. Brent Hardt seems very much interested in the collection of garbage in the city. He is also poking his nose into local government issues.

I think he is highly qualified for the job of Mayor of Georgetown. Since he has such a passion for the collection of garbage, why not give him the job?
