ZURICH, Switzerland (CMC) – Jamaica have regained their place among the top 50 teams in the world after climbing four spots to 49th, according to the latest rankings from FIFA.
The Reggae Boyz made the jump despite losing their last World Cup Qualifier to Mexico at the National Stadium in Kingston.
They remain the highest ranked Caribbean team followed by Haiti (63, down four spots) and Trinidad and Tobago (81, up one place).
The top four teams remain unchanged. However Portugal have been knocked from fifth place by The Netherlands who climb 4 places.
Spain, Germany, Argentina and Croatia are ranked first to fourth respectively.
The Reggae Boyz were scheduled to play the United States at the National Stadium last evening..
