Husband bonded for threatening wife, her aunt

CURTIS Patterson appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore yesterday, charged with threatening behaviour towards his wife and her aunt.
The 31-year-old defendant (no address given) pleaded guilty, with explanation, to the two charges.

Particulars of one offence said, on May 13, in Station Street, Kitty, Georgetown, he used threatening language to Tamaica Patterson and the other said, the same day, he did similarly to Juliet Mc Ray, Patterson’s aunt.
The husband claimed Mc Ray always tells her niece what to do and, one night when his wife left home without informing him, he went to see if she was at the aunt’s house and the latter cursed him.
Mc Ray said she is disgusted with the attitude of the defendant, who engages in smoking and gambling and he even pelted her with a bottle, accusing her of having an intimate relationship with her niece.
The wife lamented that hers is not a good husband and the magistrate put him on a bond to keep the peace for one year, with the alternative of six months imprisonment.
