ALLAN Scott, of Lot 105 Second Street, Craig, East Bank Demerara, pleaded not guilty to two drugs charges yesterday and was remanded to prison by Magistrate Sueanna Lovell.

Particulars of one offence said, on Wednesday, May 8, at Craig, the defendant had 56 grammes of cannabis sativa (marijuana) for the purpose of trafficking.
The other charge said, the same day and place, he also had eight more grammes of the narcotic for the purpose.
Scott told the court, he suffers from high blood pressure and requested to be granted bail but the magistrate said, while she sympathises with his condition, she cannot grant him pre-trial freedom because there is no special reason for doing so.
Scott has to be back in court on May 16.
