E-Networks joins forces with RHTYSC

BLESSED with the ability to attract and maintain sponsors over a long period of time, the Area ‘H’-based Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTYSC) yesterday garnered in the generosity of E-Networks to add to their long list of sponsors.
The company, which started operations in Berbice two weeks ago, donated one free year of cable television service to RHTYSC’s Cricketer-of-the-Year Delbert

Hicks and, with their donation of an undisclosed sum yesterday, became RHTYSC’s second largest sponsor after Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company.
Apart from the members of the Media fraternity, also present at yesterday’s presentation were E-Networks Chief Technical Officer Gerald Singh and RHTYSC’s first Test cricketer Assad Fudadin.

According to RHTYSC’s Chief Executive Officer/Secretary Hilbert Foster, this year the club has a target of 175 programmes/activities under the sub-headings of education, health, sports, awards, tributes, youth development, coaching, charity, community development and religion.
“Every single one of these activities would touch and change the lives of many youths, the elderly and less fortunate. E-Networks’ large contribution to RHTYSC would be used for some of these programmes, especially the Tribute to Heroes, Cricket Coaching sessions, Feeding the Poor, Father of the Year and sharing out of school bags to the less fortunate students in August.
“The club would also use some of the funds to purchase cricket balls for our practice sessions in the afternoon and host our annual cricket academy and on behalf of our patron and the rest of executives, I would like to express thanks to E-Networks CEO Vishok Persaud for this remarkable assistance,” said Foster.
The burly Foster said the Club would name one of its Annual Wards Presentation after its latest sponsor, along with the Father-of-the-Year Award.
“Please be assured that the RHTYSC would always strive to fulfil its mandate in its motto ‘In Pursuit of Excellence’ and with members such as Assad Fudadin and Shemaine Campbelle, we would continue to be the best youth and sports club in Guyana.”
In his brief remarks, Singh said E-Networks was happy to be in Berbice to serve the people of the Ancient County, while wishing RHTYSC all the best in the future, on behalf of Persaud who was absent.
