KELVIN Maloney, 24, of Lot 168 East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, was refused bail, yesterday, on an armed robbery charge.

Before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell, he pleaded not guilty to having on Wednesday, May 8, also in the city, robbed Marissa Parris of one gold band worth $80,000.
Police Prosecutor Alexis David-Hossanah told the court that Maloney went behind Parris and snatched her jewel but public-spirited citizens helped her to recover it after they had a scuffle.
The defendant, however, claimed the woman’s bangle fell from her hand and he returned it to her.
He is to be back in court o May 20.
