WITH just two more performances, one of the remaining contestants will be crowned the 2013 Guyana Telephone & Telegraph Company Limited (GT&T) Jingle & Song Competition winner, and gain in excess of $2.5M in prizes, including a motorcar.
The contestants who have qualified are expected to bring their best firepower in talent, hoping to sweep the judges away and convince the voting public to support their quest to become the winner.
Interestingly, some of the popular names who participated in the competition have dropped out as the competition brought to light new talent.
Meanwhile, tonight the judges on both the English and Bollywood panels would be seriously challenged to determine the elite quality performances which are also expected to captivate the audience.
The contestants in the Bollywood segment through to tonight’s semi-finals are Yeataindra Singh, Andy Rambarack, Reshma Persaud, Devchandra Ramrattan, Bibi Halima Khan, Sasenarine Hitnarayan, Harresh Singh, Bunty Singh, Denishwar Bissesar and Eric Sukrah.
The English segment will see performances from Edward Perez, Sonia Barrow, Sherbeth Hinds, Diana Chapman, Natasha Yapp, Omenelle Orme, Michael Small, Karen Couchman, Lerone Souvenir, T’Shana Cort, Dorian O’bermuler, Lumuel Chester, Ryan Hoppie, Neil Maraj and Darren Benjamen.
Admission to the semi-finals is $1,500 and $2,000, and tickets are on sale at the NCC box office. The show is scheduled to commence at 20:00 hrs.
