Edward ‘Screw’ Richmond Memorial Schools Football Tournament : ‘Multi’ assured of semifinal berth : … LFS debarred, face suspension

CHRISTIANBURG/Wismar Secondary drew closer to a fifth consecutive semifinal berth as they drubbed Harmony Secondary 4-1 on the seventh day of action, when the Edward ‘Screw’ Richmond Memorial Under-18 football championship continued at the Wisburg Secondary school ground last Tuesday.Marmalique Davidson had a double in the win, scoring in the 9th and 60th minutes while Yannock Simon in the 21st and Jashawn Moore in the 25th were the other scorers for the ‘Multi’ side. Harmony’s solitary strike came off the boot of Julian Fortune in the 54th minute. Meanwhile, the tournament organisers last Monday withdrew Linden Foundation Secondary School (LFSS) from the tournament due to the non-attendance of the senior team to scheduled matches in the competition – a trend dating back to March 22, 2012.
