As ‘D Day’ for the most prized post in Guyana’s football draws nearer more support is pouring in for Presidential hopeful Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major, one of four candidates contesting tomorrow’s elections of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF).

National Football captain, Christopher joins fellow team mates Kayode McKinnon and former captain, Charles Pollard in endorsing Major for the top position.
“I feel Mr Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major has the ability to head the Guyana Football Federation in the right direction. Unquestionably if there is a bright spot of the current Administration it has been ‘Shanghai’. All of the candidates each have good resumes and credentials to sustain the position, however, through good, bad and dreadful times Mr. Major has remained the one person within the federation who demonstrated the ability to deliver.
I see the sky as the limit on what we can achieve with him at the helm”, Nurse declared in a statement to the Media yesterday.
Also throwing in his support for Major yesterday was Chairman of Air Services Limited, Yacoob Ally who stated, “Without a doubt, Mr. Major is the most prepared and most experienced to take up the mantle and fill the void that currently exists in the Federation. It is time that we bridge the gap between the Administration of football and the players, and I am confident that no one else will do this better”.
“I have no reservation in endorsing Mr. Aubrey Major for President of the Guyana Football Federation and I am confident it is a decision well made”, Ally added.
