Guyanese in St. Kitts shot in face

The SKNVIBES, Basterrre, St. Kitts has reported that a male Guyanese, employed at   Builder’s Paradise in St. Kitts, was on Saturday  afternoon shot in the face, allegedly by his employer. He is warded at the Joseph N. France General Hospital and was on Saturday awaiting surgery.
The injured man’s name was given as Wayne Jeffrey, formerly of
Corentyne,

altBerbice but currently resides in Conaree Village. The incident reportedly happened around 16:00 hrs.
According to the news article,  Jeffrey, along with other employees, was sent by his employer to deliver building materials to customers but claimed they did not find the consignee, and so returned to their workplace with the consignment of lumber.
On their return to work, the report said, “Jeffrey was confronted by his seemingly irate supervisor who demanded to know why he was not informed about the return of the materials.”
A confrontation ensued and the outcome was that Jeffrey was shot in the right side of his face and subsequently rushed to hospital. The bullet is said to be still lodged in his body.
According to the SKNVIBES: “It was observed that his tongue was swollen to twice its normal size and he was bleeding from the mouth.  When questioned about his condition, all he could have made were guttural sounds. He, however, indicated by hand signals and slight nods of the head that he is scheduled for surgery today.”
