Capoey Lake residents to enjoy better healthcare delivery : – Gov’t makes new outboard engine and boat available

 

RESIDENTS along the banks of the Capoey Lake, Essequibo Coast, can look forward to an improved delivery of healthcare services following the recent acquisition of a new 15 hp Yamaha outboard engine and boat presented by the Region 2 administration on behalf of the  Government of Guyana. Chairman of Region 2, Mr. Parmanand Persaud, who handed over the engine and the boat to Community Health Worker, Ms. Esther Henry, said the focus of the government is to provide free healthcare to all residents of the country.
She informed that the engine and boat must be used to deliver free healthcare services to all residents of the community located some ten miles from the main Essequibo Coast public road.
  
 Meanwhile, residents of Capoey Amerindian community said they are thankful to the government for the engine and boat and have promised that it will be used for delivering free healthcare in the lake areas.
