MOHAMMED Husein (no address given) has been charged with stealing molasses from Demerara Distillers Ltd (DDL).

The defendant, who is a driver for (DDL), appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman yesterday and pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Particulars of the offence said it was committed on March 8, when the defendant stole five gallons of molasses worth $11,993.
Attorney-at-law Mr. Paul Fung-a-Fat, for the Defence, requested reasonable bail, stating that Husein has been fired from the job and the surety was set at $70,000 until March 19.
