DAMION Allicock was remanded to prison yesterday, on a charge of unlawfully assaulting his reputed wife, Theodosia Adams. He appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman and pleaded not guilty to the offence alleged on March 2, at James Street, Albouystown, Georgetown.
Police Sergeant Vishnu Hunt, prosecuting, said the couple had a misunderstanding and the defendant dragged the woman down a stairway.
But Allicock claimed he only pulled her by her pants.
However, he was refused bail not only because they share the same home but also because the defendant has similar cases in another court.
He has to be back in front of Magistrate Latchman on March 20.
