THE Amerindian Action Movement of Guyana (TAAMOG), an Amerindian Non-Governmental Organisation vigorously condemns a cabal on Facebook calling itself ‘The Amerindian Peoples Liberation Front (APLF)’ as a threat to Guyana’s nation-state and more so to its territorial integrity.
TAAMOG is therefore appealing to all peace-loving Guyanese, and more particularly to Guyana’s indigenous peoples in our hinterland communities to be vigilant and to report to the security forces of our country any act or acts of
suspicion or sabotage by any agent or agents claiming to belong to the ‘APLF’.
On the Facebook social media, the ‘APLF’ claims to have nine declarations and a world of demands directed to “those who will not listen”. The ‘APLF’ said that it is working in solidarity with the Idle no more movement of North America, the Zapatista Army of National Liberation of Central America, the Movimento Xingu Vivo of South America and the Siwa Lima Front of the Pacific.
The APLF claims to have a “High Command” in terms of its Leadership and is “Ordained by the 9 Amerindian Peoples of Guyana to ‘Establish Justice’ in Guyana.” The “High Command” of ‘The APLF’ merely constitutes four persons, but their names are in Guyana’s indigenous people’s languages who are responsible for four geographic fronts in Guyana. The names of the ‘APLF’ “High Command” are (1) Commander Piriki-Ki (Northern Front); (2) Commander Kokoi (Southern Front); (3) Commander Imenari (Eastern Front) and (4) Commander Timenneng (Western Front). The ‘APLF’ is therefore a cabal of four indigenous fascists.
The APLF claims that the government is invited to open a “civilised dialogue” with it via e-mail aplfcampaign@live.com, “but any uncivilised communication will be published for the world to see and hostile acts from the government via the security forces against the APLF will result in an official launching of a nation-wide offensive on a scale unprecedented in the history of the English-speaking Caribbean”.
TAAMOG outrightly rejects the claims of this ‘APLF’ cabal and its political agenda on Facebook as being terrorist in nature and threatening the peace and stability of Guyana as well as undemocratically wishing to impose itself on Guyana’s indigenous peoples in the form of a military junta.
TAAMOG therefore strongly advises the ‘APLF’ Cabal that its threats to Guyana’s nation state will not be taken lightly.
Finally, the claim by the ‘APLF’ cabal that it was “ordained” by Guyana’s nine indigenous peoples is merely a hoax designed to particularly fool the international community about the situation of Guyana’s indigenous peoples and is making claims on Facebook it is incompetent to intellectually rationalise.
