JOHN Tracey shot an impressive net 61 to capture the Stag Beer Mashramani Golf tournament played last Saturday at the Lusignan golf Club.

Tracey playing off a handicap 15 shot gross 76 on his way to victory. He also had the best gross in the tournament sponsored by Ansa McAl Trading to cap an outstanding day’s play.
Second place went to Munaff Arjune who hot net 68 from gross 75 playing off a 7 handicap, while Carlos Adams with (25-95-70) secured the third place on a countback from Gavin Todd and Patrick Prashad who also ended on net 70. Ayube Ali had the longest drive on hole number six while teenage golfer Orlando Deo was Nearest to the Pin.
The Tournament attracted 36 golfers including Ansa McAl Trading Marketing Director Troy Cadogan and visiting Carib Brewery Export Manager Scot McSween.
President of the Lusignan Jerome Khan expressed appreciation to Ansa Mc Al and its brand Stag Beer for sponsoring the competition to coincide with Mashramani celebrations.
According to Khan, sponsorship helps in the development of the sport locally and said that Ansa Mc Al has always been an ardent supporter of golf in Guyana,
Darshnie Yussuf,  Ansa Mc Al Public Relations Officer said that her company was pleased to sponsor the tournament for another year and pledged continued support in the future.
She thanked the players for participating in the tournament which is becoming one of the major events on the local golfing calendar.
The next tournament at the Club will take place on March 2 sponsored by Ming’s Products and Services.
