The regional newspaper also reported that Wolfe was undergoing “a battery of tests,” and according to a family source, there seems to be nothing life-threatening about the former public official’s health.
Wolfe was contracted by the Government of Guyana last year to chair a Commission of Inquiry (CoI) into the occurrences which led to the upheaval in Linden in July of that same year.
As recently as two weeks ago, Wolfe and his fellow commissioners cross-examined several persons after a break of almost two months in the CoI’s work.
The Commission is expected to present its findings to President Donald Ramotar later this month.
Prime Minister Samuel Hinds, performing the duties of president in the absence of Mr Ramotar, said late yesterday he was very concerned at the latest development in relation to Mr. Wolfe’s health, and hopes his recovery “is full and fast.”
