BCB/Norman Singh Memorial 20/20 tournament bowls off tomorrow

THE BERBICE Cricket Board’s (BCB) ongoing efforts to assist in the development of cricket in the West Berbice area would be taking a step further when the Norman Singh 20/20 Memorial Cricket tournament bowls off tomorrow from 13:00hrs.

A total of 19 teams, who are allowed one first division player each, would be taking part in the tournament which will be played on a knockout basis. The top two teams will clash in the final at the Bath Community Centre. All games start promptly at 13.00hrs.
Fixtures for the first round which sees Hopetown United given a bye reads:   Cotton Tree Die Hard versus Number 3 at Cotton Tree, Woodley Park Young Strikers take on Sundown at Woodley Park, D’Edward face Bush Lot Challengers at D’Edward and Rainbow Generation go up against Exhowa   at Seafield.
At Rosignol, the home team will host Achievers, Bush Lot United Generation will entertain D’Edward Warriors, Blairmont Community Centre ‘A’ and Number 28 Warriors Boss will meet at Blairmont. Bath will host Blairmont Community Centre B and Shieldstown will defend their home territory against Number 7 Silver Park.
