Parker’s track record will be interesting to the people of Rupununi

I refer to a letter in the Stabroek News by Carl Parker (Sr.) in its issue of Monday January 21, 2013 under the caption “the opposition of Lethem residents to an IMC has been vindicated”. Permit me to state the following:
1. Carl Parker (Sr.) is a known APNU activist at Lethem carrying out the mischievous agenda of his party which is always destructive and never constructive. Therefore, being an APNU Regional Councillor he is simply useless not being able to contribute meaningfully to the development of the Rupununi Region. He is definitely a liability on the Region 9 RDC.
2. But since Parker was a member of the GDF, a former District Development Officer (DDO) based at Aishalton and a former Deputy Regional Executive Officer (DREO) for Region 3, it is interesting for the people of Rupununi to know about his track record in these positions he held.
3. Mr. Editor, the replacement of an NDC by an IMC by the Ministry of Local Government is based simply on gross incompetence and corruption, hence the removal of the NDC at Lethem.
4. Parker, being an APNU activist is now levelling all sorts of accusations against the Lethem IMC with the claim of vindication, while he is refusing to make comments on the volume of sand and gravel sold by the replaced NDC, which never matched the proceeds declared. In other words, millions of dollars were earned from the sale of sand but only a pittance was declared, hence the denial of the permission for the former NDC to collect royalties from the sale of sand and gravel by the GGMC.
5. The “Controversial building” at the Lethem Airstrip built by a Brazilian National was authorised by the replaced NDC, hence the supply of electricity.
