Police raids heartening

MOST Guyanese are asking what took the law-enforcement authorities so long to get the rid of this plague once and for all. The police conducted a raid at the Stabroek Market Square, Georgetown and 36 men have been held in relation to various investigations. It’s also heartening to read about the police conducting raids in some areas of Guyana where criminals are being caught with their loot.
Last week at the Stabroek Market Square, my poor friend’s handbag was cut by thieves for a measly $G2,000  she had in it.

This is the same kid who had some domestic problems. Guyana Chronicle’s reporter Michel Outridge helped me with.
Then there are these parasites who prey on the unsuspecting for even the little

they have in life.
She told me she found out she was robbed only when she went to pay her bus fare with nothing in her hand bag except for a cut.

She said she was trembling and terrified just knowing she was robbed in that manner.
Luckily for her she saw a friend who paid her bus fare.
These parasites are operating all over the Georgetown area with impunity and everyone knows they do not work alone.
There are many pick pocket thieves operating around those horseracing entities too, especially at Good- Wood at Camp and Charlotte Streets. The police ought to go there to round them up too.
This is only part of the easy work done by good police intelligence, but the hard work comes when these parasites are found guilty; what will be their fate?
To rob a poor, hard- working innocent kid like my friend deserves a lifetime in jail.
Guyanese now await the PNC opposition and GHRA who will not miss a beat in telling the world that the PPP/C police are arresting the wrong people for all the wrong reasons.
It has already started on SN blog site where many opposition bloggers are asking if the PPP/C police have search and arrest warrants to apprehend innocent people.
It’s about time our government put a full stop to career thieves and terrorists who will never work for an honest living like that of my friend they robbed.
