THE Medical Laboratory of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) has been issued with renewed certification by the Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS).
And in presenting that document to Laboratory Director Dr. Pheona Mohamed-Rambarran last Friday, Executive Director of the GNBS, Ms. Evadnie Enniss, congratulated the staff of the unit on their excellent performance in the standards and quality of service which they delivered.
Ms. Enniss urged the lab staff to maintain the level of excellence, and to be “good starters and good finishers”, so that, in time, that unit could win its accreditation standards.
Ms. Candelle Walcott-Bostwick, Head of Conformity Assessment, also praised the Lab for the great improvement in operation, and urged staffers not to lapse into non-conformity.
In her acceptance remarks, Dr. Pheona Mohamed-Rambarran thanked her staff for the relentless collective efforts put in by the team as each in the unit worked towards achieving this certification.
“This is a great achievement for the department, and we must work towards (achieving) greater heights,” she asserted.
